About this file
This document is a specification section (Section 02510) for Base Course Gravel Surfacing, issued under project number 25IFB17399, involving CSP (likely Colorado State Parks). The project requires furnishing and constructing gravel surfacing at specified locations, with delivery scheduled between October 1st and November 15th, 2025. Contractors are asked to bid on two potential tonnage amounts - 2,000 tons or 2,500 tons - with CSP reserving the right to select the most appropriate quantity. The gravel will be hauled to a CSP gravel pit near the corrals, with CSP providing a loader and operator to manage the gravel pile.
The aggregate specifications require sound, durable gravel and sand particles with specific gradation requirements, including precise sieve size percentages and a plasticity index of 0-6. Payment will be made at the contract price per ton for gravel surfacing, with tonnage weight tickets mandatory for the project. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and haul agreements. The technical specifications provide detailed requirements for material composition, ensuring the gravel meets precise engineering standards for base course surfacing.
