3. Transmission of an alarm signal to the remote alarm receiving station.
4. Recording of the event in the system memory.
5. Recording of the event by the system printer.
H. Alarm Silencing, System Reset and Indication: Controlled by switches in the FACP.
1. Silencing-switch operation halts audible alarm operation of notification appli-ances and activates an "alarm silence" light. Display of identity of the alarm de-vice is retained. Where horn/strobes are installed, the visible alarm function shall remain until the alarm condition is cleared.
2. Subsequent alarm signals from other devices or zones reactivate notification ap-pliances until silencing switch is operated again.
3. When alarm-initiating devices return to normal and system reset switch is oper-ated, notification appliances operate again until alarm silence switch is reset.
MULTIPLE BUILDING FIRE ALARM REHAB 283111 – 5
I. Smoke detection initiates the following:
1. Audible and visible indication of an "alarm verification" signal at the FACP.
2. Activation of a listed and approved "alarm verification" sequence at the FACP and the detector.
3. Recording of the event by the system printer.
4. General alarm if the alarm is verified.
5. Cancellation of the FACP indication and system reset if the alarm is not verified.
J. Removal of an alarm-initiating device or a notification appliance initiates the follow-ing:
1. A "trouble" signal indication at the FACP and the annunciator for the device or zone involved
2. Recording of the event by the system printer
3. Transmission of trouble signal to remote alarm receiving station
K. Logging and Printout of Events: On receipt of the signal, log alarm, supervisory, and trouble events. Identify zone, device, and function. Include type of signal (alarm, su-pervisory, or trouble), and date and time of occurrence. Differentiate alarm signals from all other printed indications. Also log system reset event, including the same in-formation for device, location, date, and time. Commands initiate the printout of a list of existing alarm, supervisory, and trouble conditions in the system and a historical log of events.
L. FACP 80-Character LCD Alphanumeric Display: Plain-English-language descriptions of alarm, supervisory, and trouble events; and addresses and locations of alarm-initiat-ing or supervisory devices originating the report. Display monitoring actions, system and component status, system commands, programming information, and data from the system's historical memory.
