Specifications For Trail Bridge Materials
The Trail Bridge Materials will meet all requirements laid out in the project drawings and associated specifications.
GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
1. The trail bridge materials will meet all requirements laid out in the project drawings.
2. The trail bridge materials will be delivered to McCall Idaho, 83638.
3. The trail bridge materials will be delivered in an unassembled configuration.
SECTION II- DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENT OF WORK
II- 1- Scope of Work
The purpose of this solicitation is to purchase one (1) Trail Bridge for the Payette National Forest.
II- 2 - Location or Delivery
The Trail Bridge shall be delivered FOB, new and complete to the Payette National Forest McCall District office located in St McCall, ID 83638. The forest service has equipment available to assist with the unloading of the delivery truck.
II- 3 - Period of Performance
Delivery of the Trail Bridge is expected in ten weeks after award. If additional time is needed, please include the time in your quote.
II- 4 - Inspection Requirements
The Contractor shall notify the technical contact, Contracting Officer Representative a minimum of 48 hours before the Trail Bridge is scheduled for delivery. A final physical inspection and operating check shall be made before the Rock Rake is offloaded for delivery.
II- 5 - Warranty
The Contractor shall guarantee the Trail Bridge and all parts furnished, except for consumables and wear parts, against defective material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of acceptance, or the length of the manufacturer’s warranty, whichever is longer. The Contractor shall promptly correct any defects found at no increase in the contract price.
If the Government returns supplies to the Contractor for correction or replacement under this clause, the Contractor shall be liable for transportation charges up to an amount equal to the cost of transportation by the usual commercial method of shipment from the place of delivery specified in this contract (irrespective of the f.o.b. point or the point of acceptance) to the Contractor's plant and return to the place of delivery specified in this contract. The Contractor shall also bear the responsibility for the supplies while in transit.
The Contractor shall be the source for warranty work regardless of the make of the component.
II- 6 - Guarantee of Materials
1. The Trail Bridge shall be NEW and of most current production.
2. The Vendor agrees that the Rock Rake furnished under this contract will be covered by the most favorable commercial warranties the Vendor gives to any customer for such supplies or services, and that the rights and remedies provided herein will extend to the Forest Service and are in addition to and do not limit any rights afforded to the Forest Service by any other clause of this order. Vendor agrees not to disclaim warranties of fitness for a particular purpose of merchantability.
II- 7 – Treatment Alternatives
All treatment types and levels must be approved by the America Wood Protection Association (AWPA).
Acceptable Treatment Types:
Oil borne Pentachlorophenol Copper Naphthenate Oxine Copper
Water Borne Chromated Copper Arsenate Ammoniacal Copper Zinc Arsenate Alkaline Copper Quaternary Copper Azoles (CBA-A and CA-B)
