Specifications 3405 Hot-Applied, Single Component, Polymeric Joint Sealant
Theodore Roosevelt National Park – South Unit (Medora, North Dakota)
FOB Destination:
• 151 4th Street, Medora ND 58645
• See attached MAP on subsequent pages.
Work consists of: Contractor shall furnish and deliver supplies necessary for the Government’s maintenance of asphalt and concrete macadam surfaces throughout unit areas of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. NPS staff shall use material to apply sealants with a park owned tow-behind tar kettle.
Material Requirement:
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and incidentals to furnish the following materials:
• Type 3405 Hot-Applied, Single Component, Polymeric Joint Sealant or approved technical equal. Must conform to the following: Hot-applied, single-component polymeric compound. Specifically formulated for the cost-effective sealing of cracks and joints in Portland cement and asphalt concrete highways. Offers excellent bonding properties, high resiliency, and resistance to degradation from weathering. For large-, medium- and small-scale sealing projects. Shall not become brittle at low temperatures and will not flow or migrate from the joint at temperatures up to 140º F (60º C). 3405 is recommended for large-scale sealing of joints and cracks in Portland cement and asphalt concrete pavements because of its excellent cost efficiency, long sealant life and high return on investment. Typical applications include sealing expansion and contraction joints in concrete highways (both transverse and longitudinal), joints between concrete pavements and asphaltic shoulders, and random cracks in both Portland cement and asphalt concrete pavements.
Quantity of Order Furnished to Government:
• 10 Pallets (36 Block/Cartons per Pallet) 30lbs per block / carton.
o Product to be delivered in manufacturer packaging.
o Palletized as originally configured by product manufacturer.
• Total Weight: 10,800 pounds of product not including weight of packaging, and pallets.
o Delivery shall ensure that packaging is furnished to government in undamaged, sealed, original packaging.
Delivery:
Materials shall be delivered to facility by freight or truck. Park does not have a loading dock. Park possesses a front-end loader with fork package.
Deliver 15 Days ARO.
Delivery Schedule:
Hours for delivery shall be 7:30am to 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday. No delivery on weekends or observed national holidays. All deliveries activities will require coordination with the park’s project manager. The designated government representative shall coordinate mutually agreeable schedule for contractor and park to facilitate receipt of order.

1. Provide literature / material information verifying proposed product conforms to these specifications and quantities.
2. Supplier shall provide delivery to FOB Destination.
3. Provide information that materials proposed, meet Technical References in 1.03 of this documents in addition to (Material Requirements).
Material Supply Specifications
A. Horizontal Joint Sealant: Hot pour single component joint sealant shall be 3405 hot-applied polymeric sealants as manufactured by W. R. MEADOWS or approved equal.
