SPECIFICATION SHEET
Mountain Home AFB, ID
Radar Clamshell Enclosure 18 April 2023
1.0 GENERAL: The 266th Range Squadron located on Mountain Home AFB, ID requires one
(1) expeditionary radar shelter allowing for rapid teardown and setup to permit operational use while also maximizing equipment protection.
2.0 ENCLOSURE MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS: The shelter structure must (at a minimum) comply with the following salient characteristics:
2.1. Physical Characteristics
2.1.1. CONTAINMENT: A rapidly collapsible shelter with minimum dimensions able to contain a piece of equipment that is 90” W x 120” L x 160” H.
2.1.2. Required snow load rating 15 psf and non-operating wind speed rating of 115 mph.
2.1.3. When collapsed shall not exceed 5’from the ground.
2.1.4. Must include a bare ground anchor kit capable of performing at above mentioned wind speeds.
2.1.5. Secondary access for personnel to enter shelter without power minimum dimensions of
72” H x 28” W.
2.1.6. Structure must be reusable/relocatable.
2.1.7 The Contractor shall provide two (2) hard copies and one (1) digital copy of an instruction manual for all necessary uses of the shelter to include; setup/installation, teardown, daily operation, open and close, repair process, and related requirements.
2.1.8 Opening and closing mechanism must have electric/motorized and manual options.
2.1.8.1 Motor input power must be 200V - 220V, 3 phase, 60 Hz.
2.1.9 Required structure materials:
2.1.9.1. Fabric: Berry Amendment compliant vinyl, 15oz. desert tan/flat dark earth or forest/hunter green is required for environmental blending.
2.1.9.2. Frame: Powder-coated aluminum.
2.2. Warranty
2.2.1. Frame: 5 years
2.2.2. Fabric: 5 years
2.2.3. Motor: 1 years
3.0. INSTALLATION: Shall take two (2) personnel no longer than three (3) hours to assemble or disassemble.
4.0 SPECIFICS: Contractor shall deliver to 266 RANS Vehicle Yard, 255 Liberator St, Mountain Home AFB ID 83648
