About this file

The document is the Specific Terms and Conditions for an Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) contract to purchase Inmate Wristbands. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications, evaluated based on the overall price for lines 1-3. The contract period is 12 months, with optional extensions for four additional 12-month periods upon mutual agreement. Bidders must submit their bids through the Alabama Buys supplier portal, following the provided instructions. The materials, supplies, or equipment must be new, unused, and of recent manufacture, suitable for the intended purpose. The ADOC makes no guarantee regarding the actual volume of goods to be ordered, and orders will be placed as needed with statewide shipping. The contract allows for price escalation due to increased material or labor costs, subject to state approval, and the awarded supplier may offer volume discounts. Deliveries must be made within 30 days of the supplier's receipt of the order, and the supplier may be considered non-responsive if they consistently ship late or incomplete orders.

Any successive extension must have written approval of both the state and supplier no later than 30 days prior to expiration of the previous 12-month period.
