About this file

This document is a Special Notice Synopsis in support of market research being conducted by the Air Force Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate. The government is seeking to identify potential sources capable of providing an infrared scene projector that utilizes resistive emitter array technology to produce high definition dynamic IR scenes, including the associated signal processing electronics, power supplies, emitter array cooling, calibration hardware, and user interface software. The projector must be compatible with the existing MIRAGE-XL infrared scene projector.

The government is currently planning a sole source purchase from Santa Barbara Infrared, Inc. for a MIRAGE-XL unit, and this market research is intended to ensure no other IR projectors with the same specifications and scene projection capabilities are available. Interested parties are asked to provide documentation demonstrating their company's capabilities in meeting these requirements by the response deadline of July 5, 2024. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with this market research, and participation does not guarantee inclusion in future solicitations or contract awards.
