DESCRIPTION

NOTICE OF INTENT. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 17 intends to solicit and award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract with Olympus America, Inc. (3500 Corporate PKWY, Center Valley, PA 18034) in accordance with the 41 U.S.C. § 1901 as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). The contract anticipated effective date is December 1, 2022, for a period of one year with three option years.

This contract is for the Original Equipment Manufacturer to lease to the Government. The following Olympus equipment to include full maintenance. The equipment and/or service must be in form, fit, and functionality with existing hospital equipment in order to maintain constant patient care.

Leased equipment will be utilized at the El Paso Texas Veterans Healthcare System Hospital (7901 Metropolis Drive, Austin, TX 78744 -3111) where the scopes are required to be compatible in form, fit, and function with existing equipment and systems already purchased and owned by El Paso Texas Veterans Healthcare System.

The NAICS code is 334510, Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Telephone requests will not be accepted. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. All capability statements shall be sent to the points of contacts below and received not later than 4:00 PM CST on November 11, 2022. The determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to the synopsis.
