Siren Amp Basic Functions

Fire Command vehicles:

Mode 1: Rear of light bar, deck lights.

‐ Light bar pattern in Park (Slow wig wag).

‐ Light bar pattern in Drive (Action Flash).

‐ If unable to program pattern change in Park, program for Action Flash.

‐ Can have siren tone.

Mode 2: All light bar, deck and grille lights, front and rear flashers.

‐ Flashing Takedowns and Alley’s not activated.

‐ Light bar pattern in Park (Slow wig wag).

‐ Light bar pattern in Drive (Action Flash).

‐ If unable to program pattern change in Park, program for Action Flash.

‐ Can have siren tone.

Mode 3: All light bar, including flashing takedowns and alleys, deck and grille lights, and flashers.

‐ Light bar pattern in Park (Slow wig wag).

‐ Light bar pattern in Drive (Action Flash).

‐ If unable to program pattern change in Park, program for Action Flash.

‐ Can have siren tone.

Light bar will illuminate with red and white lights, with amber in the rear of light bar.

Push Buttons

Left Alley: ‐ Illuminate left alley light.

Right Alley: ‐ Illuminate right alley light.

Scene Front: ‐ Illuminate all front light bar white lights.

Scene Rear: ‐ Illuminates all rear light bar white lights and available rear white lights.

Cruise: ‐ Illuminates corner light bar lights in low power, steady on.

Flash: ‐ Illuminates light bar in a momentary flash.

Low Power: ‐ Illuminates all lights in low power.

Manual: ‐ Momentary switch for Warble tone and to cycle through tones.

Air Horn: ‐ Momentary switch for Air Horn tone.

TA Left: ‐ Illuminates rear of light bar with a sequential left pattern in Amber.

TA Right: ‐ Illuminates rear of light bar with a sequential right pattern in Amber.

TA Split: ‐ Illuminates rear of light bar with a sequential center out pattern in Amber.

Park Kill: ‐ This function will turn off all tones when vehicle is placed in Park. If programming is available, place light bar, grille, and deck lights in a slow wig wag pattern.

Brake Service: ‐ If this programming is available, set all rear facing lights (light bar, deck lights, rear flashers, etc.) to pause when brakes are applied.

Any other options that are controlled by the siren amp beyond these basic functions may be incorporated if they don’t affect the basic functions.

4x4 wheel drive pick-up truck; single, extended or crew cab, white in color. Include the following options: short bed body, special traction differential, towing/mountain ratio, engine block heater, all terrain tires and increased output alternator. The following options are authorized on pick-ups but must be approved by both regional fleet and fire management: cruise control, power mirrors, windows and doorlocks.

4” Equipment designator, black non-reflective on driver’s side; 4” unit designator, black non- reflective passenger’s side.

DOOR DECAL:

* 10” FS shield white with brown border/ lettering.

* 7/16” FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY, brown

* 5/8” US GOVERNMENT, brown

* 1-1/2” Equipment number, brown

* All reflective vinyl, placed middle of door below stripe.

REAR:

4” Unit designator, black non-reflective on drivers’s side;

4” Equipment designator, black non reflective passenger’s side.

SIDE:

1” white reflective stripe centered on 4” green reflective stripe, cut at 45° angle to allow for 4” FIRE decal white reflective over rear wheels and;

4” Equipment designator on front fender.

STRIPE ILLUSTRATION:

1” white reflective stripe centered on 4” green reflective stripe, cut at 45° angle to allow for designators.

VEHICLE:

Minimum 9,700 lb. GVWR if 50 gallon Type 7 slip-on pump unit is installed.

Minimum 12,000 lb. GVWR if 125 gallon Type 7 slip-on pump unit is installed.
