About this file

This specification document outlines requirements for loader snow plowing services for the 2026-27 contract year in Connecticut. The scope of work covers snow plowing and snow removal operations on town streets, parking lots, and school access walks. The contractor will be responsible for operating loader equipment to clear snow and ice from designated areas, maintaining accessibility and safety during winter weather events. The specification establishes operational standards, equipment requirements, and performance expectations for snow removal activities throughout the contract period.

The document details equipment specifications for the loader used in snow plowing operations, including requirements for size, capacity, blade configuration, and operational capabilities necessary to effectively clear roadways and parking areas. Pricing and payment terms are tied to performance metrics and service calls rather than a fixed rate, with compensation based on actual snow removal events and hours of operation. The contract requires compliance with town standards for snow depth thresholds and response times, with the contractor expected to maintain equipment in proper working condition and provide qualified operators. Any incumbent contractor information, specific pricing structures, and funding allocations would be identified in the associated contract opportunity documentation and budget authorizations.
