About this file
This synopsis document outlines requirements for a proposed contract to provide commercial spare parts to support three United States Air Force Air Logistics Complexes. The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation seeks to award a firm fixed price contract through solicitation SPE4A2-16-R-0001 to supply approximately 2,000 items across federal supply classes including fasteners, electrical components, hardware and various maintenance repair and operations supplies. Offerors must price all market basket items and attend a pre-proposal site review at Warner Robins Air Force Base, Tinker Air Force Base or Hill Air Force Base in February 2016 to be eligible to respond prior to proposal submission in February. The resulting contract will provide inventory management and distribution of recurring use bench stock parts to the three air force bases to achieve a 99.5% first pass acceptance and 24 hour maximum mechanic wait time, with some select areas requiring an 8 hour turnaround. The contractor shall employ best commercial practices to source, stock and distribute the supplies on a just-in-time basis to flight lines.
