About this file
This is a Spare Equipment Replacement Positions Specifications document issued by CAL FIRE, a California state agency, detailing the procurement requirements for 16 spare ModUcom equipment replacement positions. The procurement is necessitated by the existing dispatch consoles reaching the end of their service life, requiring immediate replacement to maintain seamless emergency coordination infrastructure functionality. Each spare position equipment set consists of multiple integrated components including a PC tower with Windows OS and SSD, a 24-inch ELO touchscreen monitor, operator position workstation software license, computer audio module, audio module enclosure with power supply, telephone/recorder interface board with cables, audio recorder cable, standard PC peripherals (mouse and keyboard), CAM-to-PIC interface cable, footswitch cable assembly, headset jackbox cable, speaker cables (20 feet per two speakers per position), dynamic microphone, single pedal footswitch with 10-foot cable, headset jackbox, and Tripp Lite outlet strip with twist-lock plug. The document does not specify response dates, due dates, site visits, bidders' meetings, award dates, or contract term and renewal options.
The specifications document emphasizes that all equipment must provide exact operation requirements to maintain operational effectiveness and increase repair efficiencies. The PC must be configured to disable all security functions except those specified in the configuration file and interface directly with the computer audio processing module connected to the master system controller. The Position Interface Card (PIC II) is required for each operator position workstation to control all functions between the position computer and main system controller. The document contains no information regarding pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding sources, or amounts.
