About this file
This is an Agency Specific Requirements (ASR) document supplementing a Request for Lease Proposal (RLP) for warehouse storage space for the U.S. Geological Survey's Lower Mississippi-Gulf Water Science Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, effective July 2, 2026.
The USGS LMGWSC requires a single storage unit or minimal number of units totaling 500 rentable square feet to securely store large mission-critical equipment, including water-quality instrumentation, kayaks, and construction tools essential for hydrologic monitoring and storm-response operations. The facility must be located within a defined geographic area bounded by Middlebrook Pike (north), Highway 25 (east), Kingston Pike/Lyons View Pike/South Northshore Drive (south), and Morrell Road/Vanosdale Road (west). The lessor must provide good, safe vehicular access and circulation for large vehicles, with street access from two different directions preferred. Operating hours must accommodate daily services and maintenance with 24-hour access, seven days a week. Security requirements are specified in the RLP at FSL 1, and no janitorial services are required. All requirements in this ASR supersede any contradictory items in other RLP sections, with all costs to be amortized into the overall rental consideration unless specified otherwise.
