STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
UPDATE PANEL SCHEDULES AND TRACE BRANCH CIRCUITS
STATEMENT OF WORK
BACKGROUND
Over the course of many years, the existing panel schedules identified herein have become inaccurate or outdated. The agency requires that panel schedules accurately reflect the branch circuits connected to the panels to enable safe maintenance work to be performed by in house maintenance personnel. The agency also requires the labeling of all branch circuit devices to be in accordance with the panel schedules. A previous arc flash study was conducted and panels were labeled, however, those labels need to be verified/updated on the existing labeled panels and any new panels identified herein labeled for the first time.
SCOPE
In accordance with the specific requirements identified herein, the contractor shall trace all electrical circuits, label all branch circuit devices and update all panel schedules to the highest degree of specificity possible. Upon completion of the aforementioned, the contractor shall install the updated panel schedules permanently in the corresponding panels.
The contractor shall verify the validity of current arc flash labeling on all electrical panels identified herein, updating those in need of revision and adding appropriate arc flash labeling to those panels that are currently unlabeled.
Should the contractor locate a panel while working within a warehouse/building identified in this statement of work (SOW) that is not specifically called out in this SOW, the contractor shall notify the COR/PM immediately. The contractor shall not perform any work on electrical panels not specifically identified in this SOW unless incorporated via modification to the resulting contract.
Throughout the course of this effort, the contractor shall log any recommendations for minimizing downstream arc flash hazards and any recommendations for mitigation of any electrical safety hazards identified during the course of the work. The log shall be submitted to the COR/PM on a per building basis and shall include itemized pricing to rectify all proposed recommendations within the respective building. The logged recommendations will be evaluated by the COR/PM to determine the most appropriate way ahead. The contractor shall not perform any work associated with the rectification/mitigation of any proposed recommendations unless incorporated into the resulting contract via modification. Any immediate threat to life/limb/electrocution discovered during the course of this work shall be brought to the attention of the COR/PM immediately upon discovery. The contractor shall take no action that would result in additional cost to the Government unless instructed to do so by the Contracting Officer or his designee.
