The amendment clarifies answers to 11 questions received regarding the solicitation and updates the schedule of supplies. The hour and date specified for receipt of offers is extended. Key clarifications include: offerors should quote for a 36V maintenance-free battery (not 48V) matching the listed dimensions of 38-3/16"L x 24-7/16"W x 22-7/16"H; equivalent products are acceptable provided all literature is submitted for technical acceptability; there are no pre-approved manufacturers; the required warranty period is 1 year; brand new batteries only are required (no refurbished or remanufactured); standard commercial packaging and shipping apply; dock delivery is acceptable; partial shipments are acceptable if lead times vary; no additional Buy American Act or country-of-origin restrictions apply beyond those in the solicitation; and the preferred battery type is Eternity Battery with no lithium.

The updated schedule of supplies identifies Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001 for Battery 36 Volt 18-85-21, Hyundai maintenance-free battery with specific dimensions and connector specifications for MHE Hyundai Model 20B-9 lifts. Amendment 0001

The amendment hereby clarifies answers the questions that were received.

1. The schedule lists “48 Volt 18-85-21,” but 18-85-21 is commonly a 36V battery size, while 48V batteries are commonly listed as 24-85-21. Should offerors quote a 48V battery for the Hyundai 20B- 9, or an 18-85-21 battery matching the listed dimensions?

The offeror should quote for a 36V maintenance free battery matching the dimensions listed.

The schedule of supplies are updated below.

2. Is there any way to get a picture of the battery and truck data tag? The 18-85-21 is NOT a maintenance free battery model number

A data plate of Hyundai 20B-9 lift is attached in three different angles. The numbers are metal stamped versus solid black lettering.

3. Is the listed Hyundai battery required to be OEM, or will equivalent products be accepted?

Equivalents are acceptable, you must send all the literature to the item for it to be technically acceptable.

4. If equivalents are acceptable, are there any approved manufacturers currently being used by DLA?

No

5. Is there a required battery manufacturer warranty period?

1 year

6. Are refurbished or remanufactured batteries acceptable, or are new batteries required?

Brand new

7. Are there any special packaging, marking, or hazardous material shipping requirements beyond standard commercial practice?

No, just standard commercial

8. Is inside delivery required, or is dock delivery acceptable?

Dock delivery is acceptable

9. Will the Government accept partial shipments if lead times vary?

Yes

10. Are there any Buy American Act preferences or country-of-origin restrictions beyond those identified in the solicitation?

No

11. The preferred battery type?

Eternity Battery, no lithium

The description is hereby updated to read 36 Volt and not 48 Volt
