About this file
This is Amendment 0001 to a solicitation for warehouse trailers issued by the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution for facilities in Corpus Christi, Texas. The amendment extends the quote submission deadline to 12:00 PM EST on May 1, 2026, and provides clarification on six vendor questions regarding trailer specifications and operational requirements.
Key specification clarifications include: powder coat finish is required and two-part epoxy is not acceptable; either a step-on floor lock or tongue-actuated brake is acceptable (one or the other, not both); front axle steer only is required, with quad steer steering explicitly not acceptable; the 36-inch fixed pipe end rack specification has been deleted; 6.00-9/10 ply pneumatic tires are not acceptable for the 20-inch diameter pneumatic tires due to operational concerns regarding cargo damage; and the trailers will not exceed towing speeds of 25 mph. The solicitation number is SP3300-26-Q-0123, issued by DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, with point of contact Tom Semones (thomas.semones@dla.mil). All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain in effect.
