About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document addressing contractor inquiries related to the installation of a scissor lift table at DLA Distribution Susquehanna, PA.
The document clarifies several key installation requirements and site conditions. An existing lift currently located in a pit must be removed and craned out by the contractor, with the Government assuming responsibility for final disposal. Approximately eight feet of seal tight conduit will be required to run power from the electric knife box, which is currently located in the pit with the existing equipment. The scissor table will be craned into position rather than installed in a pit or accessed via ramp. The installation area has a 10-foot garage door that the delivery vehicle must clear to enter the building. No photographs of the installation area are available at this time.
