Text version
This solicitation is being amended with the following information:
The print lists the container dimensions as 41" x 21 1/2" x 19 1/2". Could you please confirm whether these are the outside or inside dimensions? – Make the inside dimensions 39 1/2" x 19 1/2" x 18 1/2" to accommodate the foam.
The cushion overall outside dimensions are listed as 39 1/2" x 19 1/2" x 18 1/2". If the container dimensions represent the outside measurements, it seems there may not be sufficient space to accommodate the skids referenced in the spec. Could you kindly verify if the crate is required to include skids? Yes, Skids
The spec also calls for 3/8" x 3" Hx Lag Screws and Washers. If the crate does not require skids, could you clarify the intended purpose of the lag bolts? See previous, screws are in the skids
Is there any more info on the cushioning or the crate style? – Wood crate IAW ASTM-D6880 see website for the scope D6880/D6880M Standard Specification for Wood Boxes.
Are there any photo's available of the current pack? – Negative We would need the full specs; do you know the type of foam shown in the drawing? (Polyethylene, Polystyrene) - Cushioning IAW A-A-59136 class 1, grade A, type 1, page 5 of the drawing lists the specifications to look at for it. (you should be able to look up any of the specs listed)
Also, the Density? If you have anything that shows the details on the box, bag and foam that will be needed to provide the most accurate quote – no bag required. All other info is provided in the answers to the other questions or in the attached SPI.
