About this file
This is a Statement of Work for the acquisition of vein visualization systems for the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center. The center seeks to procure four vein visualization systems paired with hands-free, powered goose-neck wheeled stands on a brand name or equal basis, with AccuVein cited as the reference standard.
The vein visualization system must be handheld, portable, and non-invasive, featuring a user-friendly interface, battery operation, and real-time visualization capability. Technical specifications include near-infrared light with a wavelength around 850nm, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, a power supply with input voltage range of 100-240V AC and output voltage around 5V DC at 2A, and lightweight construction with easy-to-clean surfaces. The accompanying stand must be hands-free with wheeled mobility, ergonomic adjustability, compact design, goose-neck flexibility, and continuous power supply. Both components must be easy to clean and maintain. Warranty coverage includes a 12-month manufacturer device warranty and a 9-month manufacturer battery warranty. Contractors proposing equal alternatives to the AccuVein brand must submit sufficient documentation demonstrating that proposed products meet the salient physical, functional, and performance characteristics specified in the statement of work.
