About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details building repairs needed for Building 320 at the USDA Agricultural Research Service's Southwest Watershed Research Center in Tucson, AZ. The project requires replacing the existing metal roof, gutters, and attic flooring of the 40' x 180' building constructed in 1973.
The work includes demolishing the existing metal roof and 1/2" fiberglass insulation, installing a new standing seam metal roof system with vinyl reinforced R-5 insulation, replacing 6" metal gutters and downspouts, installing two new 36" x 36" galvanized steel louvers for attic ventilation, and installing new composite engineered flooring panels (ResinDek LD or equivalent) in the attic. The contractor must provide a 20-year warranty on the roofing system and a 10-year warranty on the flooring. The project timeline is 180 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, and photos show the current condition of the building's exterior and attic storage area. The government will move 75% of stored materials from the attic to facilitate the work, with the contractor responsible for temporarily relocating the remaining 25%.
