About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a project to replace traffic control barriers at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado. The scope involves installing electric traffic control gate arm configurations with specific requirements: a K4 (M30) crash-rated gate with L1 certification at building 1 dock area, two control gates at parking lot 7, and non-rated control gates at parking lot 6. The new barriers will be electrical power unit (EPU) style with surface mounting hardware, featuring a vertically hinged rigid beam, white-painted aluminum arm with reflective tape, counterweights, numerical keypad, vehicle loop detection, and optical eye.

Key technical specifications include motor-rated gates capable of 350 cycles per hour with 3-6 second open/close times, operating in temperatures from -4°F to 122°F, and arm height of 36-40 inches above road surface. The contractor must provide universal remote controls with up to 64 channel capabilities, program all remote controls, and demonstrate proper operation before project completion. Additional requirements include coordinating with Base Civil Engineering, following safety regulations, maintaining work site cleanliness, and providing a 12-month labor and materials warranty. The project is controlled by the U.S. Space Force and will be executed by the 21st Civil Engineering Squadron.
