About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a Tower Cab Renovation project at Dyess Air Force Base, focusing on upgrading the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) interior. The project scope includes disassembling and removing existing cabinets, consoles, carpet, and damaged ceiling tiles, assessing and removing outdated electrical wiring, sealing any cracks or openings, and installing new tower consoles, carpet, cabinets, and ceiling tiles. The renovation aims to eliminate excess wiring, reduce equipment overheating risks, and address potential water leaks that could compromise the facility's operational capabilities.

Key requirements include following green procurement mandates, complying with Dyess AFB Design Guide and UFC building codes, and maintaining strict quality control in coordination with ATCT Chief Controllers. The project is classified as high-visibility and will be rated in the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS). Work will be conducted between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with contractors requiring an escort in the controlled ATCT area. The project involves hold point inspections, and contractors must submit Request for Information (RFI) forms for any site condition variations. The project is a Design/Build (D/B) contract with a focus on minimizing disruption to the Wing's flying capabilities.
