About this file
The document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a comprehensive service agreement for the Thermo Nicolet iS50 Fourier Transform Infra-Red Spectrometer and Thermo Nicolet iN10 MX FTIR Microscope owned by the Library of Congress. The SOW requires the contractor to provide onsite repairs, annual preventative maintenance, and unlimited telephone support for the instruments. The service agreement includes factory-certified replacement parts with a one-year warranty, software and firmware repairs, and engineer labor and travel. The contractor must complete repairs within 21 calendar days of notification. The annual preventative maintenance visit is to be scheduled within the first 6 months of each contract period. The contractor must use only Thermo Electron trained and certified service engineers.
The related federal contract opportunity is a sole source notice for the Library of Congress to award a firm-fixed price contract to Thermo Electron North America, LLC for the comprehensive service agreement described in the SOW. The period of performance is 1 base year with 2 option years, and the value is below the simplified acquisition threshold but above the public notice threshold. No further notices will be posted for this contracting action.
