0. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY (GFP)
GFP will be issued via hand receipt to the contractor. Comment by PADGETT, DAVID N CIV USAF AFMC OL_H/PZIMB: How many spindles are we dealing with? We do not use hand receipts unless we are in the 100s or 1000s. If there are a few spindles, then we will generate a GFP list and this bullet goes away.
The contractor shall safeguard all GFP placed into the contractor’s care.
While GFP is in the contractor’s possession the contractor is liable for any loss, damage, destruction, or theft.
The contractor is responsible for returning all GFP to the Government after repair is complete at the destination specified in the contract, FOB destination unless directed otherwise in writing by the CO.
