STATEMENT OF WORK

Attachment (1): Sample HAZ WASTE Profile for used drums

The government is looking for vendors to submit offers on the following 5 year Indefinite Quantity Contract at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME.

The requirement is to provide a combination of various types of 55 gallon drums for use at the Hazardous Waste Storage Facility along with 2 storage trailers on which store these drums. A third storage trailer is required to store "used" drums. The process as envisioned would work as follows:

• At the start of performance the vendor would deliver 3 (three) trailers. 2 will contain the Shipyard's drum inventory and the 3rd would be empty.

• When the Shipyard's drum inventory requires replenishment a Delivery Order will be provided to the vendor, who will bring a new trailer stocked in accordance with the delivery order requirements.

• The delivered trailer will replace the empty trailer ... the empty trailer will replace the storage trailer containing the "used drums" and the storage trailer will be taken and the "used drums" disposed of in a regulatory compliant manner.

Each trailer must be clean, registered, insured, and road ready. Each of the 2 storage trailers shall be capable of storing a minimum of 288 drums, comprised as a combination of 1A2 drums and 1A1 drums.

The configuration of the trailer, i.e., the number of each type of drum will be provided by a Delivery Order when the Shipyard's drum inventory requires replenishment. As previously stated when the Delivery Order is delivered the vendor will remove the third trailer, which was used to store "used drums" and will dispose of the "used drums" in a regulatory compliant manner. When the drum inventory requires replenishment, delivery turn around shall be within seven (7) working days of receipt of the Delivery Order. The drum replenishment trailer will be delivered to the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Hazardous Waste Storage Facility, Building 357, Kittery, ME between the hours of 0630 and 1500 (Monday thru Friday).
