About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the requirements for designing, engineering, fabricating, and testing two sets of B-52 fuselage shoring and two custom trailers for Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. The contractor must develop shoring components that match the aircraft's contour, with specific load-bearing requirements at seven different fuselage stations (110, 175, 345, 435, 1484, 1655, and 1719), ranging from 4,000 to 16,000 load pounds. The trailers must be white, powder-coated, capable of being towed at 20 MPH, and equipped with specific features including a locking tow bar, rubber wheels, strap latch points, and an aluminum mesh basket.
The project has a 120-day period of performance, with key milestones including a pre-fabrication review within five business days of contract award, a fit and function test of the first shoring set by September 15, 2025, and delivery of the second set by December 19, 2025. The contractor must comply with numerous safety, environmental, and technical requirements, including providing detailed documentation, maintaining tool control, preventing foreign object damage, and adhering to specific welding, material, and occupational safety standards. The government will provide aircraft personnel to assist with fitting and testing the shoring, and the contractor must provide a minimum one-year warranty on the equipment.
