This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for technical assistance for a knuckle boom crane on the USCGC POLAR STAR. The U.S. Coast Guard requires an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certified technical representative from Allied Systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues with two specific knuckle boom crane models (Serial #s 2204 and 2207), where operators are experiencing control and movement problems. The required service will be performed at Mare Island Shipyard in Vallejo, California, with a performance period from September 12-19, 2025.

The related federal contract opportunity is a sole-source procurement by the Department of Homeland Security's United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center. The contract will be awarded to Allied Systems using commercial item procedures under FAR Parts 12 and 13, with a Firm Fixed Price structure. The procurement falls under NAICS code 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing) and is not designated for small businesses. The contract's primary contact is Ms. Donna J. Oneal, and any potential competitors must provide compelling evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government.
