The contract requires procurement and delivery of two horizontal slurry pumps with 75-horsepower 3-phase motors, two variable frequency drives (VFDs) with control panel enclosures, electrical components, associated hardware, and on-site electrical installation and start-up services.

Equipment Specifications and Deliverables:

CLIN 010 specifies two horizontal slurry pumps (Metso model MR300 LNR-S C5 or equal) rated for 3,400 gallons per minute and 40 feet total dynamic head, designed to pump sediment-laden water with particles up to 75 millimeters, with elastomer or rubber-lined impellers. Each pump requires a compatible 75-horsepower, 3-phase, 480-volt, 60-hertz motor rated at 1,750 RPM with Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) housing and VFD duty rating. CLIN 020 specifies two VFDs (Galt Model G500 G540-01150UL-03 or equal) rated 75 horsepower at 480 volts with adjustable carrier frequencies from 8 to 16 kilohertz, resonant frequency skipping capability, and EMC C2/C3 filters. Each VFD requires a NEMA 1 rated control panel with blower cooling and operator control interface, mountable to government-provided frames approximately 13 inches wide by 74 inches tall. CLIN 030 specifies electrical components including 10-foot motor leads and 15-foot VFD leads with 1.25-inch flexible conduit, all terminated with Meltric DSN150 150-ampere 480-volt receptacles and connectors, four poly angle junction boxes with Meltric 715C3N12 connectors, and cable sizing conforming to NFPA 70. CLIN 040 requires on-site installation by a qualified electrician or technician, including mounting VFD panels, installing all wiring and junction boxes, and connecting equipment to laboratory power supply and motor receptacles.

Project Requirements and Terms:

Work must be completed within nine months of contract award. The place of performance is Building 56 of the Bureau of Reclamation's Denver Federal Center (6th Avenue and Kipling Street), Denver, Colorado 80225. On-site work must occur during normal business hours, Monday through Friday except federal holidays, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The contract site is within a secured federal facility; contractors must comply with all security procedures and can be required to remove employees who fail security requirements. The government provides moveable frames for the VFDs and is responsible for removing existing equipment. Quotations must include product descriptions with technical cut sheets and compliance confirmation, manufacturer warranty terms, delivery and installation lead times, and Schedule B pricing. Award will be based on best value considering technical capability, schedule, and price.
