About this file
This is a Scope of Work (SOW) document for the United States Coast Guard Sector San Diego, located at 2170 N. Harbor Drive, San Diego, California, addressing comprehensive renovations to the Aircrew Duty Berthing Room in Building D. The project encompasses multiple renovation phases including lighting system upgrades with LED fixtures featuring dimmable and red-light modes across six sleeping rooms, one central hallway, and one bathroom; complete bathroom renovation including installation of commercial-grade fixtures, new sheet vinyl flooring, and waterproofing; installation of approximately 590 square feet of Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring throughout crew berthing spaces with new baseboards and trim; and interior painting of six sleeping rooms and common passageways. The contractor is responsible for all demolition of existing materials, disposal, installation of new fixtures, electrical modifications, plumbing connections, wall repairs, and finishing work while ensuring compliance with local and federal building codes.
The contract is a Total Small Business Set-Aside in the Residential Remodelers category (NAICS 236118) and requires the contractor to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, and supervision. A critical asbestos safety note indicates that no asbestos was detected in the berthing room during environmental assessment (AESS Job No. 26-092), though the document references that lead was detected at very low concentration, with additional safety protocol information appearing to be incomplete in the provided documentation.
