STATEMENT OF WORK

for

400 Hertz Converter Installation

9 December 2020

1.0 INTRODUCTION

This statement of work is for installation of a 400 Hertz converter installation for the Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility (GWEF), 782 Test Squadron/RNWG, Eglin AFB, FL. The new 400 Hertz converter will be provided by the GWEF.

2.0 PROJECT SCOPE

The Contractor shall be required to furnish all materials, equipment, labor and personnel necessary to accomplish this work in accordance with the contract requirements. The Contractor is expected to maintain safety requirements and demonstrate standard construction methods, at all times. The contractor shall perform all work listed below:

A. Disconnect and remove existing 40A circuit feeding previous converter.

B. Disconnect and remove existing converter output circuit.

C. Install (1) 125A 3 pole 480V circuit breaker in existing Siemens FC1 switchboard.

D. Install (1) input circuit from existing switchboard to new converter terminating on input circuit breaker within the converter.

E. Install a 600A rated parallel output circuit from the converter to its load termination (this circuit capacity is based upon the output circuit breaker size within the new converter).

F. Install (1) lot conduit, boxes, hardware, conductors and misc. hardware to install the above referenced items.

G. Install a new user-provided 400 hertz power converter. The unit is replacing an old converter that has already been removed.

H. Disposal of any waste generated by the installation.

3.0 SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

3.1 400 Hertz Converter The GWEF supplied 400 Hertz converter is a FCX Systems Incorporated X120, model number PFC096. System specifications are defined below:

120 KVA SOLID STATE FREQUENCY CONVERTER

UNIT TYPE: PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) KVA RATING: 120KVA (96kW @ 0.8pf)

ENCLOSURE DIMENSIONS: 78”H x 50”W x28.5”D ENVIRONMENTAL RATING: NEMA 4 (equivalent) OUTPUT FREQUENCY: 400 Hz INPUT POWER: 480V/3PH/60Hz INPUT RECTIFICAITON: 5% Input (A) THD – 200% O/L

NUMBER OF 400HZ OUTPUTS: 1

INPUT TERMINATION: Three (3) pol thermal mag. Trip circuit breaker, operable from front of unit OUTPUT TERMINATION: Three (3) pole, non-automatic output circuit breaker, operable from front of unit, with shut trip coil interlocked with protective devices.

3.2 Siemans FC1 Swithboard

The images below show the existing FC1 switchboard.

4.0 SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

A. All Contractor personnel requiring access to Eglin AFB and the GWEF will be required to submit name and date of birth. The personnel may undergo a background check by Eglin Security Forces a minimum of two weeks before access is required. Coordination of access requirements will be through the GWEF security personnel.

B. The Customer will provide escorts if needed.

C. The Contractor shall submit for pre-approval all computers, software, and test equipment entering the GWEF. The Contractor shall not bring any wireless devices into the facility D. The Contractor has complete the project in a timely matter with minimal impact. Notify

CO immediately of any impact regarding long lead items, delays or anything that could affect the negotiated schedule and completion date.

E. Provide warranty, certificates of compliance.
