About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details repair and upgrade requirements for a Vehicle Warehouse, encompassing comprehensive facility improvements for a Department of the Air Force Space Command installation. The project involves replacing 56 windows with high-density polyethylene or blast-resistant glass, repairing a detached roof section, replacing four overhead roll-up doors with electrically operated systems, investigating electrical panel circuit breaker issues, and upgrading warehouse lighting to achieve specific illuminance standards. The work must be completed in accordance with Host Nation regulations, with contractors required to verify all dimensions, provide their own equipment, and comply with base access and safety protocols.
The project is located at an Israeli military installation, with strict access requirements and operational constraints, including work hours from 0800 to 1530 Sunday through Thursday, excluding Jewish and Israeli federal holidays. Contractors must submit detailed materials, drawings, and designs for government review, with a 14-day processing period, and must coordinate base access through a specific point of contact. Pre-construction steps include an initial site visit, submission of an itemized quote and proposal, a pre-design conference, and obtaining a Notice to Proceed before commencing work. The solicitation is currently in a pre-solicitation phase, with contractors needing to demonstrate capability to meet complex technical specifications and military installation access requirements.
