About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines a design-build project to repair the main sewage line at Building 1330 on Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. The project requires a contractor to conduct site investigations, design a new sanitary service (SS) system, demolish approximately 107 feet of existing SS line from the 24" main line to a clean out in the women's restroom, and construct a new SS system. Additional scope includes repairing the asphalt outside the facility, repairing a 6-inch concrete slab, removing and replacing floor finishes in the emergency shower room, and repainting disturbed walls.
The project schedule spans 198 calendar days after Notice to Proceed, with key milestones including site investigations (14 days), multiple design submittals and reviews (60%, 90%, and 100% stages), and a 90-day construction period. The contractor must provide detailed AutoCAD drawings, specifications, and design analysis at each design stage, use SpecsIntact software for documentation, and follow strict quality control procedures. The work will be performed during normal business hours, with the facility partially occupied, and requires an Entry Authorization List for on-site access.

According to the As built drawings, the failed SS service line enters building 1330 below the exterior foundation, and under a 6” thick (th) slab that is reinforced with welded wire fabric. The 6” th concrete floor was (re)coated with Chemically Resistant Urethane, (CRU) in Dec. 2022.
There is a lateral SS line approximately 30’ long, that serves an emergency shower. The 30’ SS line is connected perpendicular to the 107’ SS line. The Storage Room located building north of the room containing the emergency shower, is equipped with a floor drain that is not shown on the attached As-build drawings.
A. SCOPE OF WORK

3. Demolish all SS system from the 24” SS Main to the clean out (CO) located within the women’s restroom and the floor drain located in the storage room.
a. Control all airborne debris to protect all personnel and property.
b. Access to remove and replace with new SS system.
i. Approximately 107’ SS from CO at the 24” SS Main to the CO located within the women’s restroom.
ii. Approximately 30’ of SS lateral from the sheet metal storage room 103 to the 107” SS as described above.
c. The SS line, for the emergency shower will be capped and abandoned in place.
d. Remove the emergency shower in room 105, cut and cap plumbing to conceal in new floor and wall finishes.
4. Construct new SS system from 24” SS main to the CO located within the women’s restroom and the lateral and floor drain located in the sheet metal storage room 103.
