BUILDING 198 DOOR REPLACEMENTS
STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)
1.0 BACKGROUND
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) requires labor and materials to replace the existing roll-up doors for Building 198 for the currently failing outside bay doors.
2.0 APPLICABLE DOCUMENT
2.1 Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Regulations;
2.2 Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines;
2.3 US Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual EM 385-1-1;
2.4 Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 3-101-01 Architecture;
2.5 Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) Specifications 08 33 23;
2.6 Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL);
2.7 Building 198 First Floor Plan (attached); and
2.8 Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Specifications.
3.0 REQUIREMENTS
3.1 The Contractor shall provide all labor and material required to furnish and install (2) 625 series insulated rolling doors with RHX operators at the locations indicated on the attached ‘Building 198 First Floor’ plan.
3.1.1 The new doors shall be manufactured by Overhead Door Corporation.
3.1.2 While it is the government’s understanding power to the existing doors to be 208/3 phase, the Contractor shall provide field verification and document all existing overhead door power, specifications, conditions and dimensions in order to verify requirements and specifications to support the new overhead insulated rolling doors.
3.1.3 The Contractor shall ensure the new overhead doors meet the following specifications and requirements:
Baked enamel gray finish Double angle bottom bar Exterior weatherseal and brush seal kits at jambs and the sill of both new overhead doors.
3.1.4 The Contractor shall ensure the operator includes the following:

One (1) open/close/stop wall station Brake Back up chain hoist Electric safety edge
3.1.5 The Contractor shall provide control connections and start-up.
3.2 The Contractor shall demolish, remove and dispose of the current two (2) overhead, motorized, rolling doors and any associated overhead door components required for replacement.
3.3 The Contractor shall install the doors in accordance with (IAW) OEM specifications in Building 198 located at the NSWCDD.
3.5 The Contractor shall manage demolition debris to ensure it remains within the limits of disturbance.
3.5.1 The Contractor shall ensure all demolition operations are conducted IAW local, state, and federal regulations.
3.6 The Contractor shall provide data in accordance with CDRL A001 for approval prior to the start of work.
3.7 The Contractor personnel shall wear personal protective equipment IAW OSHA regulations and CDC guidelines throughout the project.
3.8 The Contractor shall perform all work shall IAW UFC 3-101-01 Architecture and UFGS specifications 08 33 23.
3.9 The Contractor shall protect Government property from damage or disfigurement.
3.10 The Contractor shall keep all supplies, equipment, and tools out of traffic lanes or other areas where they might create a hazard.
3.11 At the end of each work period, the Contractor shall secure all supplies, equipment and tools.
3.12 The Contractor shall perform all work during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, 0700 – 1600.
3.13 The Contractor shall complete the control connections and start-up of the doors.
3.14 The Contractor shall provide a final walk inspection to ensure the doors are properly installed and working correctly.
3.15 The Contractor shall coordinate with the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) identified below to schedule all required work.
4.0 GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED PROPERTY/MATERIAL/INFORMATION
(GFP/GFM/GFI)
4.1 The Government will provide access to the base and building for work completion.
5.0 SECURITY
All work to be performed under this SOW is Unclassified.
6.0 TRAVEL
The Contractor will be required to travel in performance of this contract. The number of trips and types of personnel traveling shall be limited to the minimum required to accomplish work requirements and shall be coordinated with the technical point of contact. All travel shall be conducted in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR).
