About this file

This is a Statement of Work for the procurement of two BX53 Olympus System Microscopes required for patient care service at BG Crawford F. Sams Army Clinic, Camp Zama, Japan. The contractor shall supply commercially available binocular microscopes equipped with plan achromatic objectives supporting brightfield, phase contrast, darkfield, photomicrography, dual viewing, and projection screen capabilities. The microscopes must feature a UIS2/UIS (Universal Infinity System) optical system, built-in transmitted Koehler illumination with a 12V, 100W long-life halogen bulb (PHILIPS 5761), light intensity voltage range of 2V or less to 12.0V DC, and power consumption of 140W. Focusing specifications include stage height movement via roller guide with fine stroke of 0.1mm and coarse stroke of 17.8mm, with a full stroke range of 25mm. The microscopes must support configurable revolving nosepieces (5-position, 6-position universal, 6-position centered, or 7-position with readout), multiple observation tube options (binocular or super widefield trinocular), rectangular ceramic-coated wire-driven stages with 52mm vertical and 76mm horizontal movement ranges, and various condenser types with numerical apertures ranging from 0.75 to 1.40. Operating environment specifications require indoor use at altitudes not exceeding 2,000 meters, ambient temperatures of 5°C to 40°C, and maximum relative humidity of 80% at temperatures up to 31°C, decreasing linearly to 50% at 40°C.

Delivery must occur 60 days after receipt of order to USA MEDDAC-JAPAN, ATTN: MCJP-LD/HT0899, Logistics Division, Building 721, APO, AP 96343-5011. Items shall be packaged according to commercial standards and clearly marked with contract number and item description. All microscopes must be new, commercially acceptable, and conform to performance specifications, with conformance verified through manufacturer's literature and documentation. The Government reserves the right to inspect all deliveries at point of receipt, with non-conforming items subject to replacement or repair at no additional cost. All items must be covered by manufacturer's warranty with a contractor-provided 12-month warranty. Invoicing shall be submitted via Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) with specific DoDAAC codes identified: Pay Official HQ0671, Issue By and Admin DoDAAC HT9410, Ship To Code HT0899, and Service Approver and Service Acceptor DoDAAC HT0899. Invoices must reference the contract number and comply with contract terms.
