INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
This five-day course is designed to provide Advanced Tactical Operators (ATO) with in-depth weapons handling, improve shooting accuracy, and tactical positioning. The course covers both basic and advanced weapons handling techniques. The facility offers 25 individual ranges designed to emphasize specific components of weapons proficiency. Range targets range from custom paper targets to Coast Guard approved AR500 steel reactive targets. Onsite lodging and DOD compliant arms/ammunition storage is available. MSRTW personnel utilize weapons proficiency as a foundation of Close Quarters Combat. This course will provide ATOs advanced training, knowledge, and skills necessary to increase mission readiness in support of Short Notice Maritime Response operations.
SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work for the Shaw’s Shooting 5 Day Pistol/Rifle Course includes access to onsite range facilities, armory, and lodging. The selected vendor will be responsible for ensuring range facilities are in working order. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing instructors to facilitate range training and instruct shooting curriculum throughout the duration of the course.
Specific deliverables and milestones will be listed in the Work Requirements and Schedules and Milestones sections of this SOW.
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
The period of performance for the 5 Day Pistol/Rifle Course is one business week (five days) beginning on 28 July 2025 through 01 August 2025. All work must be scheduled within this timeframe.
PLACE OF PERFORMANCE
The selected vendor for the 5 Day Pistol/Rifle Course project will perform all work at its own facility. The vendor will provide and arrange for onsite lodging within its facility for all attendees. Once the project reaches the training phase, all training will be conducted at the Shaw’s Shooting facility.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
As part of the Shaw’s Shooting 5 Day Pistol/Rifle Course the vendor will be responsible for performing tasks throughout various stages of this project. The following is a list of these tasks which will result in the successful completion of this project:
Arrival:
- The vendor will prepare course curriculum, range facilities, and lodging for student arrival.
- Vendor will direct team on appropriate gear storage areas as applicable.
- Vendor will provide the team with a schedule for training throughout the duration of the course.
