SCOPE OF WORK

FOR

U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West 100 Trumbo Rd

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

PART 1 – General:

United States Coast Guard Sector Key West is accepting proposals for qualified individuals or firms to replace one overhead door motor and install eight furnished sets of safety photocells on overhead doors at Sector Key West. This work shall include, but not be limited to furnishing and installing eight sets of NEMA 4X safety photocells with hardware on eight existing door openings across multiple buildings. It also includes the removal and replacement of an existing Manaras GH Operator with a new overhead door RSX 460V/3PH 1/2HP RH drive operator, complete with a new pushbutton station, on a 12 ft x 10ft door.

PART 2 – Location:

U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West

MAT BLDG

FRC Boat Bay BLDG

FRC AMM BLDG

Supply Warehouse BLDG

PART 3 – Parts Required:

For NEMA 4X Safety Photocells

1. (8) sets of NEMA 4X Safety Photocells with hardware.

2. Mounting brackets and hardware for existing door operators.

3. Conduit and wiring for electrical connections (as needed).

4. Weatherproof junction boxes (based on installation location).

5. Fasteners and sealants rated for outdoor/industrial use.

For Overhead Door Motor Replacement

1. (1) Overhead Door RSX 460V/3PH 1/2HP RH Drive Operator.

2. (1) New pushbutton control station.

3. Mounting hardware and brackets.

4. Chain hoist components (if not integrated).

5. Electrical wiring and conduit (as needed).

6. Safety signage and labeling (if required by code).

PART 4 – Facility Operating Hours:

1. The facility shall remain in operation throughout the service. Contractor access to the service site shall be limited to the following: 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Access to the site shall not be permitted on the weekends without prior approval from the Contracting Officer in writing.

PART 5 – Security Requirements

1. Contractor shall provide a list of names for required personnel needing to access the base to the Coast Guard COR for access to the base.

2. Personnel will be required to first report to the NAS Boca Chica Security Office for an entry pass unless they already have base access.

3. All personnel shall present their ID and base entry pass to the security personnel at the entrance to the base for access.

PART 6 – Contractor Responsibilities:

1. Furnish and install eight (8) sets of NEMA 4X Safety Photocells with all necessary hardware.

2. Ensure proper alignment and functionality of photocells on eight (8) designated door openings.

3. Coordinate installation across multiple locations, including the MAT Building, FRC Boat Bay, FRC AMM building, and Supply Warehouse.

4. Remove and dispose of the existing Manaras GH Operator in the MAT Building.

5. Install the new Overhead Door RSX 460V/3PH 1/2HP RH Drive Operator on the 12 ft x 10 ft opening in the MAT building.

6. Provide and install a new pushbutton control station.

7. Verify compatibility with existing power supply and door system.

8. Conduct operational testing of all installed equipment to ensure proper functionality.

9. Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.

10. Clan up and remove all debris and old equipment from the worksites upon completion.

PART 7 – Final Acceptance:

1. Contractors shall provide all required documentation, including warranties, test results, and installation records.

2. Contractors shall coordinate and participate in a final walkthrough inspection with the designated representative.

3. Contractors shall correct any deficiencies identified during the final inspection to the satisfaction of the contracting authority.

Submittal of invoice(s) information will be provided once award of contract has been made.
