Statement of Work Side Scan Package for Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary

BACKGROUND

Designated in 2021, Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary (WSCNMS) provides stewardship for our nation's maritime heritage in Lake Michigan, including a collection of historic shipwreck sites. Research indicates that several dozen more shipwrecks are yet to be discovered in sanctuary waters. To document and monitor known sanctuary resources, and to systematically locate currently undiscovered resources, the sanctuary requires a side scan sonar system. This Statement of Work contains the requirements for the supply of side scan sonar equipment for use by WSCNMS and other Great Lakes national marine sanctuaries.
