About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a two-year service maintenance agreement for a Candela GENTLE PRO PLUS laser system at the Naval Medical Readiness Training Center Camp Pendleton. The Defense Health Agency intends to sole-source the contract to Candela Corporation for a "Gold Protection Service Plan" covering the specific laser system (Serial Number: 9914-9036-16494). The maintenance agreement includes comprehensive service provisions such as annual preventative maintenance, unlimited visits, priority response time, and coverage for one HVPS, two laser heads, one fiber, and one handpiece per year.
The contract period spans two years, with a base year from 2/11/2026 to 2/10/2027 and an option year from 2/11/2027 to 2/12/2028. Delivery will be to Building H-135 at Camp Pendleton, with service hours from 0830-1700. Key points of contact include Government representative HM1 Michael Stone and Candela Corporation's Juan Robles. The sole-source justification is based on Candela Corporation being the only provider capable of meeting the specific maintenance requirements for this proprietary medical laser system, with invoicing to be handled through POC Hector Flores.
