About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a comprehensive repair and renovation project for Building B45109 at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. The project scope includes repairing concrete cracks and spalls on walls, beams, columns, roof, floor slab, and eaves, with structural stabilization through column jacketing and gap filling. Key work elements involve replacing plumbing systems, fire suppression and alarm systems, installing new ceiling tiles, applying Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) to canopy beams, and replacing electrical fixtures.

The project has a total Period of Performance of 393 calendar days, broken down into 120 days for design and 273 days for construction. Critical requirements include abating and disposing of Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) and Lead-Based Paint (LBP), maintaining sustainable design principles, and ensuring all repairs restore the facility to its original appearance. The contractor must coordinate with the 718th Civil Engineer Squadron, submit detailed design and construction documents at multiple stages, and comply with environmental and safety regulations throughout the project execution.
