About this file
The document is a Scope of Work (SOW) for holiday tree light installation and removal for the City of Milpitas, California. The solicitation requires a contractor to install and remove holiday lights on five trees located in front of Milpitas City Hall, with each tree approximately 80 feet tall. The project involves mounting city-owned lights in a traditional "Christmas tree" style, with installation to be completed by the end of the second week of November and removal between January 3 and the end of the second week of January. The work must be performed after hours and on weekends to minimize disruption to City Hall operations, with coordination and approval from the Public Works Manager.
The contract specifies minimum qualifications requiring the contractor to have at least five years of experience performing similar work. The City will provide all necessary power, timers, and storage boxes for the lights, and all materials will become city property upon completion. While specific pricing details are not included in the document, the solicitation suggests this is part of a potential 5-year agreement for seasonal holiday light installation and removal services. The contractor is responsible for providing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, supervision, transportation, and traffic control necessary to successfully complete the project.
