About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a Dell PowerEdge R450 server to replace an existing Lenel Security System (LSS) server that has reached end of life. The SOW specifies the required server configuration and performance characteristics, as well as the labor and services needed to remove the existing server, back up data, install the new server, restore the database, and update the Lenel software.

The related federal contract opportunity is a Notice of Intent for a sole source firm fixed price contract with Communications Engineering Company to provide the Lenel server replacement in support of the Iowa City VA Health Care System. The justification for the sole source award cites Communications Engineering Company as the original equipment manufacturer authorized servicer for the existing Lenel system, and the only entity able to provide maintenance and support without voiding warranties or proprietary rights.
