About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a full renovation of two schoolhouse classrooms (Buildings 223 and 224) located at Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico, issued by the Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Hood. The comprehensive renovation project encompasses architectural, civil, structural, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work to upgrade the facilities to meet TRADOC standards. Key scope elements include demolition of existing interior components, installation of new walls, floors, ceilings, doors, electrical systems, fire suppression systems, HVAC equipment, plumbing fixtures, and associated accessories.
The project requires a complete transformation of the buildings, including removing and replacing items such as gypsum board walls, ceramic tiles, suspended ceiling systems, electrical components, sprinkler systems, and mechanical equipment. The renovation will involve installing new resilient flooring, acoustic ceiling tiles, doors, hardware, paint, countertops, and comprehensive system upgrades. The contract specifications detail precise requirements for materials, installation methods, testing, and quality control, with a total project completion timeline of 240 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The estimated project involves significant technical complexity across multiple building systems and requires adherence to specific federal, state, and local building and safety regulations.
