About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for repairing and reconditioning Next Generation Radar (NEXRAD) Radio Frequency (RF) Driver Modules. The U.S. Department of Commerce's National Weather Service is seeking to repair 15 RF Driver Modules (ASN: R400-3A4, P/N 645A794A02) to "Like New" operating condition. The solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 811210, with a size standard of $34.0M, and will result in a firm-fixed price purchase order.

The SOW requires vendors to completely recondition the RF Driver Modules, including parts, materials, labor, inspection, and return shipping, to meet original manufacturer specifications. The repair must include comprehensive testing, with each module requiring a detailed repair report documenting all tests and failure analysis. The contractor will provide a 1-year warranty against material workmanship and operational faults, with final acceptance contingent on passing performance quality assurance testing by the National Reconditioning Center (NRC) in Grandview, Missouri. Any modules not meeting the strict "Like New" condition will be returned to the vendor for rework at no additional cost to the government.
