DESCRIPTION/WORK STATEMENT/SPECIFICATION
FIRE ALARM SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE SUPPORT
Period of Performance: 1 October 2021 – 30 September 2022 (Base) Base plus Two (2) Option Years
1.0 Scope
This specification establishes a requirement for continued use and support of the Micro Key Millennium Software. This software monitors most of the AES radios used to report fire alarms in ANAD buildings.
2.0 Background
The fire alarm computers at both fire station 1& 2 is currently running version 5.1.34.32 software, which will be upgraded to the latest software version available at that time by the contractor. The fire alarm computers monitor all facilities at ANAD that have an AES radio attached to a fire alarm panel.
3.0 Contractor Requirements
3.1 The contractor shall visit ANAD quarterly to maintain existing equipment at least one day per quarter. These quarterly visits will be to validate that the Micro key monitoring system is functioning properly; this includes technical support for software as well as all upgrades, bug fixes, patch releases and new releases for the period of 12 months from the execution of this contract.
3.2 The contract will include a Base + 2 Option Years of Micro key monitoring technical maintenance and licensing for fire alarm computers at fire station 1 & 2. This will include software version upgrades, bug fixes and patch releases for the duration of the contract.
3.3 The contractor shall provide training on how to use the software, if necessary, if there are any major changes to how the end user is required to interact with the Micro key software. This training/technical support will be conducted on-site.
3.4 The contractor shall provide and be responsible for their own internet, which can include the use of a hotspot of their choice. Internet access will not be provided by ANAD when contractor visits the site to provide service to systems.
4.0 Project completion Requirements
4.1 Acceptance of work completed shall be done by the assigned Government Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
Impact Statement: If this software is not upgraded to the latest software version and maintained, there could be a risk that one of the fire alarms may not communicate with the fire alarm computers. This could cause a delay in response time by one or both of the fire stations to a fire in one of the ANAD facilities.
