About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the FastPak EXP Service and Maintenance Contract at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. The contractor shall provide comprehensive service and maintenance support for two Automed FastPak EXP machines and one Lower Packaging Unit used by the pharmacy service for packaging and barcoding medications in unit dose packages for inpatient medication administration. The contract is structured as a Firm-Fixed-Price agreement with a performance period from April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015, plus two optional years. On-site service will be performed at two locations: University Drive and 1010 Delafield Road in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with work excluded on federal holidays and weekends unless directed by the Contracting Officer.
The contractor must provide unlimited telephone support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year for troubleshooting and remote diagnostics, including patches and software downloads. Additionally, the contractor shall provide unlimited on-site support during standard business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday) by trained Field Service Technicians, with all labor, travel, and parts costs included. The contract requires two preventative maintenance visits per equipment per contract year, scheduled in advance and performed during regular business hours. Equipment availability 365 days annually is critical, as failure could significantly impact inpatient medication administration and increase workload for pharmacy and nursing staff.
