Statement of Work Ekspla NL313Nd: YAG Laser

1. Background:

1.1 Benet Labs’ Ekspla NL313 Nd: YAG laser is a high energy pulsed solid state laser that produces infrared laser light and converts it to green or ultraviolet light. The system allows the Lab to process and characterize cannon materials and novel optoelectronic materials. In order to maintain the quality, reliability, and accuracy of the instrument, periodic maintenance is required. Ekspla is a Lituania-based company; Altos Photonics is their US sales and service representative.

2. Applicable Documents: None.

3. Scope/Objective:

3.1 Provide maintenance, support, and repairs to Ekspla NL313 Nd: YAG laser.

4.Requirements:
4.1Contractor shall provide remote or on-site maintenance and service as needed, to include flashlamp replacement, optics cleaning, optics alignment, beam characterization, beam optimization, harmonic crystal optimization, repairs, support, and training as necessary.
4.2.Contractor is not required to provide parts, including but not limited to
4.2.1 Flashlamps
4.2.2. Nd:YAG rods
4.2.3 Harmonic crystals
4.2.4. Mirrors, lenses, and other optical components

4.3 Contractor’s targeted response time for service call(s) shall be within 10 days of notification of equipment problem or failure. Altos shall provide telephone support for repair and maintenance of the Equipment during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm)

6. Period of Performance on this maintenance contract shall be for twelve months (1 April 2022 through 31 March 2023).

8. Information Disclosure: A Certificate of Non-Disclosure shall be signed by all contractor employees working under this effort and returned to the COR prior to award. The contractor shall not release any information or data without the approval of the Government.
