About this file

This Specification Sheet/Statement of Work details procurement requirements for satellite communications equipment to support Global Hawk operations at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center. The government requires purchase of one SDU-7330 4-channel satellite modem assembly (part number 802-10-0005-004) and four DAU-7075 DLNA diplexer/low-noise amplifier units (part number 807-20-0020). The quality document requirement is Q1-C.

The SDU-7330 is a 2 MCU Satellite Data Unit providing four channels of Swift Broadband at data speeds up to 432 kbps with flexible billing options (pay-per-megabit or pay-per-minute). Key capabilities include integrated beam steering, GPS engine, 4-port router/DHCP server, HTML-based MMI user interface, ARINC 429 ports, and MIL-1553 navigation interface. The unit operates with ARINC 741/781 Chelton antennas and supports multiple service classes including background, interactive, and streaming IP services at various bit rates. The DAU-7075 DLNA units are optimized for Inmarsat L-band connectivity with transmit frequencies of 1626.5–1660.5 MHz and receive frequencies of 1525.0–1559.0 MHz. These components provide low noise amplification and high isolation/attenuation filtering to prevent receiver saturation. Both components are ruggedized for harsh avionics environments, meet DO-160 standards, and integrate within Cobham's AVIATOR S series. Delivery is required to NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, Building 4876 Warehouse #6, Lilly Drive, Edwards, California 93524, no later than December 31, 2026.

SPEC SHEET/ STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements Purchase of 1 EA 4-channel satellite modem assembly (SDU-7330 PN 802-10-0005- 0004) and 4 EA diplexer/low-noise amplifier (DAU-7075 DLNA PN 807-20-0020) for Global Hawk.

Q-DOC Required: Q1-C

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

Product part number(s): 802-10-0005-004 Nomenclature: SDU-7330 Quantity needed: 1 Key Technical Specifications:

2 MCU Satellite Data Unit Provides 4 channels of Swift Broadband at data speeds up to 432 kbps Offers users the option of either "pay by the megabit (IP Background) or "pay by the minute" (IP Streaming) classes of service Integrated Beam Steering function Integrated GPS engine Integrated 4-port router/DHCP server allows direct Ethernet connects to the Satellite

Data unit, eliminating the need for an external router Configuration Module with integral USIM card comes with pre-assigned Forward

ID's and eliminates additional rack wiring; also stores aircraft calibration and user information allowing the module to "stay with the aircraft," reducing maintenance turnaround time

Environmentally qualified for installation both inside and outside the aircraft pressure vessel

SDN (Circuit Switched) - One basic rate interface (1B+D) per SDU channel Operates with ARINC 741 / 781 Chelton High Gain and Intermediate Antennas HTML-based MMI user interface Front panel LEDs provide system status Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) for setting up Packet Data Protocol

(PDP) contexts with selected Quality of Service (QoS) Background and Interactive class IP service Streaming class, or constant bit rate IP services at rates of 8, 16, 32, 64 and 128 kbps Additional ARINC 429 ports MIL-1553 navigation interface

Product part number(s): 807-20-0020 Nomenclature: DAU-7075 DLNA Quantity needed: 4 Key Technical Specifications:

Frequency Bands: Optimized for Inmarsat L-band connectivity.

o Transmit (Tx): 1626.5 MHz to 1660.5 MHz.

o Receive (Rx): 1525.0 MHz to 1559.0 MHz.

Low Noise Amplification: Boosts weak satellite signals right at the antenna path before sending them to the Satellite Data Unit (SDU), maximizing signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).

High Isolation & Attenuation: Provides steep filtering to isolate the aircrafts sensitive L-band receive path from high-power, co-site transmits signals, preventing receiver saturation or damage.

System Integration & Protocols

Compatibility: Integrated within Cobhams modern AVIATOR S series and ARINC 781-compliant cockpit safety/data configurations.

Supported Network Services: Fully compatible with multi-channel Swift Broadband (SBB), Swift64, and traditional Aero H/H+ safety services.

Signal Support: Optimized to process both packet data communications and safety-critical cockpit voice/ACARS data.

Architecture

Ruggedization: Designed for harsh avionics environments; meets stringent DO-160 standards for temperature, vibration, and altitude. It can be installed in non-pressurized, non-temperature-controlled aircraft zones.

Interfacing: Feeds cleanly between the system's High-Power Amplifier (HPA) and the high-gain or intermediate-gain phased array antennas.
