About this file
This is a Specification Sheet/Statement of Work for the purchase of a Freezing Point Analyzer for the Global Hawk program. One unit of the analyzer (Part Number 0117-011-001, NSN 6630017199789) is required and must be delivered to NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, Building 4876 Warehouse #6, Lilly Drive, Edwards, CA 93524, no later than October 31, 2026. Quality documentation requirement Q1-B applies to this procurement.
The Freezing Point Analyzer must comply with test standards ASTM D7153, IP 529, and DEF STAN 91-91, with correlations to ASTM D2386, IP 16, ISO 3013, and JIS K2276. Key technical specifications include a measuring range from ambient temperature down to -100°C (-148°F), precision with 0.6°C repeatability and 0.9°C reproducibility, and a patented optical detection cell. The analyzer must feature an internal Stirling cooling system requiring no external bath, a 10 ml sample volume using disposable syringes, and a 7-inch resistive color touch-screen display with real-time graphic tracking. Electrical requirements are 90V to 240VAC switchable at 50–60 Hz with 300W power consumption. The unit must include LIMS connectivity via IRIS platform, network printing capability, and multiple data ports (2x USB, 1x Serial, 1x Ethernet). Test duration is approximately 15 minutes per test with minimal operator time of 0.5 minutes.
