STATEMENT OF WORK
HazMat Pharmacy Generator, Bldg 1413 20 August 2020
1. SCOPE
1.1. The project is located at Eglin AFB, Florida, 33rd Fighter Wing building 1413. The facility requires installation of a back-up generator and connection to the existing double throw switch located on the exterior of the NW corner of the facility. The contractor is responsible for all labor, equipment, and materials associated with providing and installing the back-up generator and all associated equipment detailed in this document. This new generator will be installed on the existing concrete area closest to the exiting double throw switch. The contractor is responsible for all labor and equipment associated with the transport and installation of the generator and associated equipment. All mentioned associated equipment and expenses must be included and itemized in the contractor bid.
2. GENERAL
2.1. Required item is 208/120 V, 3 phase, 36kW, 5 wire, diesel generator.
2.2. Provide a 208/120 volt, 3 phase, 5-wire, 36kW generator. This generator shall operate on diesel fuel. The generator shall have a fuel tank capacity sized to run a minimum of 8 hours before requiring additional fuel. Mount the generator on the concrete slab located closest to the existing double throw switch and wire the generator power to the generator side of the double throw switch using Cam-Lok plugs and receptacles, or equal, as detailed in accessories below.
Contract also includes providing and installing the equipment detailed in the accessories below.
2.3. Accessories include:
- Generator battery, trickle charger, and trickle charger circuit
- Engine block heater and electrical circuit
- Provide, properly size, and install Cam-Lok Posi-Lok EO200 series, 5-wire power distribution panel, or equal, and wire it to the generator connection portion of the existing double throw switch. (Five male receptacles on this distribution panel). Panel must have built-in strain relief to reduce cable strain when connected to panel. Panel to have NEMA Type 3 rating.
- Provide, properly size, and install Cam-Lok, Posi-Lok EO200 series, female plugs on each of the five generator conductors (3 hot, 1 neutral, 1 ground). These generator conductors must be long enough to connect to the Posi-Lok power distribution panel described just above. Plugs to have NEMA 3 Type rating.
- Generator and associated equipment must be designed, installed, and rated for outdoor use
- Install ID labels on the generator, power distribution panel (described above), and double throw switch.
- Generator to have Low Sound Enclosure (66-69 dBA minimum)
3. OTHER ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Contractor shall perform all investigative and design services to verify where they will get power to feed the new equipment, which include all material required and method of installation
Final installation shall comply with the manufacturer’s recommended instructions and standards.
Install all necessary components to make this a complete and operational system and by all appropriate codes and standards.
All insulated type wire shall be THHN/THWN copper
Only use compression fittings for EMT conduit. Connectors using set screws are not allowed.
Exterior or underground conduit shall not be EMT.
Contractor must field verify the voltage, amperage, wire size, transformer size, measurements, etc.
Ensure electrical work is completed per the latest edition of the National Electrical Code.
Ensure new electrical work is grounded and bonded per the latest edition of the National Electrical Code
Ensure Design and Installation meet all requirements of UFC 3-600-01 and all applicable NFPA standards
Ensure compliance with the Eglin AFB specific base electrical requirements.
All branch circuits shall have their own neutral conductor, no sharing of the neutral conductor.
The Contractor shall repair any openings in electrical boxes, panels, cabinets, etc. when the opening is created by the Contractor removing something or not using an opening they created
Any holes created by the Contractor through the wall, floor, ceiling, etc. for installation or removal of conduit, pipe, duct, etc. must be repaired to seal the opening with appropriate material to meet any appropriate code requirements.
4. OPERATION, TESTING, AND TRAINING
4.1. After generator installation, contractor shall ensure generator is operating correctly and shall test the generator under the connected emergency load in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations. The contractor shall also train building 1413 occupants on how to start the generator, connect it to the distribution panel, and operate the building emergency circuits under generator power.
5. DELIVERY
5.1. Delivery for this project will be no longer than 60 days after contract award.
5.2. The delivery address shall be FTW Eglin AFB, IP71 Bldg. 1413 Wizard Way, Eglin AFB, FL 32542.

6. CHANGES TO THE SOW:
6.1. No changes to this SOW will be allowed without the Contracting Officer’s authorization.
