About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the repair requirements for two elevators (Left Hand and Right Hand) for the HC-144 Aircraft, to be performed by ADSMA (Airbus DS Military Aircraft, Inc.) in Mobile, Alabama. The U.S. Coast Guard requires comprehensive inspection and restoration of these elevator components, which have been consistently found to have corrosion and fatigue damage during scheduled maintenance inspections. Specific repair requirements include complete inspection, rib replacement, rear spar reinforcement, mid-life inspections, primer protections, and bonding jumper tests in accordance with AIRBUS CN-235 Aircraft Structural Repair Manual and related service bulletins.
The associated federal contract opportunity (Solicitation Number 70Z03825QL0000059) is a sole source purchase order intended to be awarded to Airbus DS Military Aircraft, Inc., with a closing date of March 14, 2025. The solicitation covers repair of two specific elevator part numbers (35-32000-0007 LH and 35-32001-0009 RH), with strict requirements that vendors must be FAA 145 certified and perform at least 50% of work at their certified facility. The anticipated award is based on Airbus being the only source with access to required proprietary technical and engineering data, with a small business size standard of $40M and NAICS code 488190.
